- Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related discipline
- Must have solid hands-on experience with complex router configurations
- Must have experience in planning, designing, and implementing projects
- Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, subnets, routing protocols, and VPN setup and configuration, Telecommunications and Telephony
- Hands-on experience in planning, installation, administration, configuration, connectivity, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily operations and administration of the VoiceData networks systems
- Involved with the analysis, design, implementation and support for organization’s network infrastructure
- Maintain various network equipment including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, servers, backup systems, telecommunications equipment, CSU/DSUs, phone systems and PBX
- Interface with service providers and various vendors and monitor performance to insure SLAs are being met
- Accurately document all system configurations, implementations and modifications
- Create and modify router and switch configurations as required
- Responsible for the administration of the entire LAN/WAN including but not limited to: Active Directory, printers, backup and security systems
